After sending photos of her beautiful son Asher to a local modeling agency, Megan Nash was met with disappointment. The owner of the agency told Megan that their company “didn’t specify special needs” and that her son’s photos would not be sent off to any companies. While they pledged to get special needs children involved in the future, Megan wasn’t satisfied. She knew she had to do something so that people with disabilities or who look different would be represented in a better light. “My first thought was how in the world does she know they don’t want a child with a disability if they haven’t even seen his picture?” -

Megan posted three photos of her magnificently photogenic son to Facebook, with the hopes that it would get OshKosh B’Gosh’s attention. “I was hoping by posting the picture and calling out OshKosh … that it just might get enough attention to change the world’s view on people with disabilities and spread awareness about this issue.” -

“I want people to know they are not just a trend that comes and goes in advertisement, they are here to stay.” -

Just look at that face. Beauty comes in all forms, shapes and sizes, so let’s embrace diversity, not hide from it!
